More than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City enter public 10th grade entrance exam

On the morning of June 6, more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City officially entered the 2025-2026 school year entrance exam with the Literature subject, with a test duration of 120 minutes.

Unlike previous years, this is the first time students take the exam according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program.

The total enrollment target for grade 10 of 115 public high schools this year is more than 70,000.

The 10th grade public school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6 and 7 at 142 testing locations.

Of which, there are 132 regular grade 10 exam sites, 10 specialized grade 10 exam sites with a total of 3,277 exam rooms.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training mobilized more than 9,500 teachers to invigilate the exam, along with about 1,840 support staff, applying security procedures similar to the national high school graduation exam to ensure the exam took place smoothly.

This afternoon, candidates continue to take the Foreign Language exam, with a duration of 90 minutes.
