More than 8,800 volunteers in the capital are ready to contribute to the A80 festival.

On the afternoon of August 16, at Hang Day Stadium ( Hanoi ), Hanoi Youth Union organized the program "Meeting volunteers serving in the series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".

The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Youth Union; leaders of the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, and more than 8,800 volunteers from 43 universities, colleges and youth union organizations across the city.

A special launching ceremony of the capital's youth

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, said that this was a special launching ceremony. "The 8,800 union members and young people present today are honored to represent nearly 3 million youths and more than 600,000 union members in the capital Hanoi. Together, we will take on tasks, from welcoming and supporting delegations, people from provinces, cities and international delegations to ensuring security and order, ensuring environmental sanitation," Mr. Hung shared.

According to Mr. Hung, the work stretches from Ba Dinh Square to more than 10 km of streets on the parade routes, requiring good health, scientific working methods, a pioneering spirit, and a desire to contribute.

You will be the ones who directly contribute to spreading the beautiful and impressive image of the capital Hanoi, and further, the image of Vietnamese youth to people across the country and international friends", Mr. Hung sent a message to the young people.

Mr. Hung also expressed his belief that all members and youths will uphold the spirit of true volunteerism, uphold professional and civilized manners, so that more than 8,800 green hearts will become a united force contributing to the success of the ceremony.

Volunteers are trained in many skills

According to the organizers, volunteers are carefully selected for their political and moral qualities, good academic performance, some groups of volunteers have good foreign language skills, and are in good health to perform assigned tasks. The City Youth Union arranged more than 200 volunteers. Cars transport forces to ensure safety and efficiency for volunteers during the performance of their duties.

At the program, Hanoi Youth Union presented uniform items such as shirts, hats, volunteer cards... and organized training for volunteers.

The training content includes necessary skills such as: supporting security and order, ensuring environmental sanitation, guiding escape, moving victims, first aid, etc.; notes when performing tasks and emphasizing manners, discipline and ensuring safety.

Through the program, the capital's youth expressed their national pride and spirit of dedication, ready to serve the nation's great holiday.
