According to data from the Department of Overseas Labor Management ( Ministry of Home Affairs ), in the first 7 months of 2025, the whole country sent 85,781 Vietnamese workers to work abroad (28,991 female workers), reaching 65.9% of the yearly plan (the whole year plan is 130,000 workers).
In July 2025 alone, the number of workers going to work abroad was 11,090, of which 3,374 were female workers.
The result of sending workers to work abroad reaching nearly 66% of the plan is a positive signal, demonstrating the proactiveness and positivity of businesses in promoting the overseas labor market, and at the same time reflecting the great demand of countries around the world for Vietnamese human resources.
Key markets receiving Vietnamese workers in the past 7 months include: Japan with 39,558 workers, Taiwan (China) with 32,471 workers and South Korea with 7,340 workers. In addition, other markets such as China, Singapore, Romania and Hungary also contributed significantly to the total number of workers going abroad.
According to the Department of Overseas Labor Management, the results of working abroad are an important premise to continue expanding the overseas labor market, improving labor quality, while ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese workers working abroad, contributing to the successful implementation of the set goals and plans for the whole year.
