Hue-Korea cooperation in tourism development: Aiming to open direct flights, enhancing the tourism brand of the ancient capital

NDO - On May 30, in Hue city, representatives of the Hue City Department of Tourism and the Korea Tourism Association (KATA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, with the goal of promoting tourism development, enhancing the position and competitiveness of Hue tourism in the international market, especially in Korea.

According to the content of the memorandum, the two sides committed to comprehensive cooperation in key areas such as promoting unique tourism resources, building specialized tourism programs suitable to the tastes of Korean tourists - focusing on royal culture, cuisine , health care and Vietnam-Korea cultural exchange.

Notably, the two sides will coordinate to research and propose opening direct flights between Hue and major cities in South Korea, opening up great opportunities to attract international visitors to the ancient capital.

At the same time, human resource training activities and improving the quality of tourism services and products will also be promoted.

The Memorandum of Understanding is effective for 5 years from the date of signing (May 30, 2025) and can be extended or adjusted according to the agreement between the two parties.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding is expected to open a new phase for tourism cooperation between Hue and Korea, contributing to making Hue a more attractive destination on the Asian tourism map.
