At the press conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Tran Cong Thich Vuong informed about some achievements in socio-economic development in April 2025.
Accordingly, since the beginning of the year, the number of visitors to Hue is estimated at more than 2 million, an increase of nearly 63%, of which international visitors are estimated at nearly 900,000; revenue is estimated at 3,650 billion VND, an increase of 41% over the same period. In particular, during the holiday from April 30 to May 4, there were more than 350,000 visitors to Hue, with revenue estimated at 730 billion VND.
Total export turnover in the first 4 months is estimated at 453 million USD, up 26.6% over the same period, reaching 31.7% of the plan; import turnover is estimated at 361.7 million USD, up 25.6% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods and social consumer services are estimated at 21,000 billion VND, up nearly 16%. Total investment capital implemented in the area is estimated at 9,744 billion VND, equal to 26.3% of the plan, up 8.3% over the same period.
Hue City has licensed 11 projects and adjusted the capital increase of 2 projects with a total registered capital of VND 22,500 billion (including 5 FDI projects with a registered capital of USD 11.7 million); newly established 296 enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 3,400 billion, an increase of 5.7% in volume and 126% in capital compared to the same period.
State budget revenue in the first 4 months is estimated at 4,591 billion VND, equal to 37.1% of the estimate, equal to 29.1% of the target and increased by 11.7% over the same period. In terms of public investment disbursement, it is among the top 10 localities nationwide.
Administrative reform has been promoted, achieving many important and outstanding results. In 2024, the Administrative Reform Index (PAR Index) ranked 7th (up 10 places compared to 2023); Hue city ranked 6th in the PCI rankings in 2024 (up 2 places). Completing the collection of public opinions on the policy of rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units in the city with high consensus from all walks of life.
