Returning home, 2 houses collapsed ( Nghe An ); 297 houses were damaged (Thanh Hoa 20, Nghe An 99, Ha Tinh 6, Quang Tri 88, Thua Thien Hue 84).
Regarding traffic, 7 bridges were damaged (Nghe An 3, Ha Tinh 3, Quang Binh 1); landslides occurred at 84 traffic points (Thanh Hoa 22, Nghe An 44, Ha Tinh 2, Quang Binh 16); 6 culverts were damaged and washed away (Thanh Hoa 1, Nghe An 5); 1 spillway was eroded (Quang Binh).
Regarding agriculture, 1,503 hectares of rice, 3,050 hectares of crops and 1,254 hectares of other plants were damaged, 2,388 livestock and poultry died, 3 fish cages were swept away (Nghe An); 677.5 hectares of ponds and lakes were flooded (Thanh Hoa 17.1 hectares; Nghe An 660.4 hectares).

In response to natural disasters, the northern and central mountainous provinces proactively deployed measures to respond to heavy rains, floods, inundation, flash floods, and landslides.
The provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue have mobilized forces to support people in repairing their houses and stabilizing their lives; and organized traffic control at deeply flooded and isolated areas.
According to the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, on September 28, the Southern region of the Northern Delta, the provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An had moderate rain, heavy rain, some places had very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 20-50mm, some places had over 80mm. The Viet Bac and Northeastern regions of the North had moderate rain, some places had heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, some places had over 60mm.
