Nam Dan District (Nghe An) meets advanced new rural standards

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Nghe An province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of Nam Dan district to continue maintaining and improving the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

* Nam Dan district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting new rural standards in 2017. Immediately after meeting new rural standards at the district level, with the attention and support of the Central and the province, Nam Dan immediately started implementing the criteria for the district to meet advanced new rural standards.

By the end of 2024, Nam Dan district had 18/18 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards (100%); 15/18 communes were recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards (83.3%); 7/18 communes were recognized as meeting model new rural standards (38.9%); Nam Dan town met civilized urban standards. Nam Dan district met 9 criteria according to the set of criteria for advanced new rural districts in the period 2021-2025. Average income per capita in 2024 reached 67 million VND/person/year; the multidimensional poverty rate was 2.1%.

The basic regional infrastructure meets the production and daily life of the people. 100% of the basic construction investment projects of the Program are implemented in accordance with the procedures of the Law on Public Investment. Up to now, Nam Dan district has no outstanding basic construction debt in the implementation of the New Rural Program.
