(CLO) According to information from Axios, Israeli intelligence agencies believe that Iran is preparing to launch an attack from Iraqi territory, expected to use many drones and ballistic missiles, which could happen before the US presidential election on November 5.
The attack could be carried out through pro-Iranian militias in Iraq, to reduce the risk of Israeli attacks on strategic targets inside Iran.

The current conflict began with Israeli airstrikes on missile production facilities near Tehran and western Iran, in retaliation for Iran's launch of more than 200 missiles on October 1.
Iran has warned of a "severe and regrettable" response to Israel. Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stressed that Iran would respond "forcefully" and called Israel's actions "desperate".
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the airstrikes had "dealt a heavy blow to Iran's missile production and defense capabilities."
Both sides have been warning each other, with top Iranian military commanders such as General Hossein Salami threatening to respond to Israel with unpredictable actions.
