According to Al Jazeera , the shooting occurred near an aid distribution center run by the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) in southern Gaza last weekend.
The Gaza Health Authority said the shooting killed at least 27 Palestinians and injured 90 others.

The Israeli army said it opened fire when "several suspects" deviated from the designated route, where a crowd was moving towards an aid distribution point.
"The suspects were located about 500 meters from the scene," the Israeli military said.
According to the spokesman of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Hisham Mhanna, 184 injured people were taken to the field hospital in Rafah, of whom 19 died on arrival and eight died later from their injuries.
The Gaza government media office accused Israel of luring hungry Palestinians to the GHF centres – which were opened after 11 weeks of total Israeli blockade to take over most aid distribution from the United Nations and other aid agencies – and then opening fire.
This is the third such attack around the Rafah center in as many days. Gaza authorities reported that more than 100 aid seekers have been killed since GHF, a US- and Israeli-backed organization that provides humanitarian aid in Gaza, began operations in the area on May 27.
