Within the framework of the Week of "Great National Unity - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" in 2025, the program to promote and introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends is a highlight, contributing to spreading national cultural values, enhancing understanding and connection between Vietnam and the international community.

On the morning of October 23, at the Conference on Providing Information to the Press on Human Rights and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, Director of the Department of Culture of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said: This year's "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week will take place from November 21 to 23 at the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Culture and Tourism Village (Doai Phuong, Hanoi).

The week includes a variety of activities: Opening ceremony of the week and the 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival; scientific workshop "Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​associated with tourism development"; National Great Unity Day... along with a series of exchange activities, performances and introductions of cultural colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups.

The highlight is the Program to promote and introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends, designed with three main contents: Introducing unique cultural activities of ethnic groups; inviting international guests to directly experience the cultural space in ethnic villages and enjoy regional cuisine . Folk art performances such as Quan Ho, Xam, Hat Van - intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO will be performed by the artists themselves... bringing a lively and authentic experience. The rich culinary space, imbued with regional identity, helps international friends better understand the depth of Vietnamese culture through food, customs and the intimacy in communication of Vietnamese people.

The program is expected to welcome about 250-300 international guests including representatives of embassies, diplomatic agencies, international organizations and foreign cultural centers in Hanoi.

Promote national cultural values ​​to the international community.

Sharing the results of Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung emphasized: In the 2021-2025 period, Project 6 has created a clear change, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, arousing pride and awareness of preserving traditional culture in the community; improving the level of cultural enjoyment and developing sustainable community tourism, linking culture with livelihoods, helping many households escape poverty. Those results create a solid foundation for the implementation of Project 6 in the next phase, towards comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable development in ethnic minority areas.

Entering the 2026-2030 period, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to restore, preserve and sustainably promote traditional cultural values; build a healthy and creative cultural environment associated with community tourism development and improve the spiritual life of people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Therefore, the investment-construction task group includes 5 key contents: Preserving and promoting typical traditional cultural villages and hamlets; preserving and restoring special national relics and typical relics of ethnic minorities; building and renovating cultural and sports institutions, equipment of village and hamlet cultural houses; building and developing community tourism spots, special tourist destinations in ethnic minority areas; supporting the construction of ecological museums in ethnic minority areas.

The support-development activity group includes 10 specific tasks: Restoring and preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups with very small populations; organizing festivals, celebrations, cultural exchanges, sports and tourism in ethnic minority areas; preserving and promoting traditional festivals and forms of folk cultural activities; researching and performing intangible cultural heritage, preserving the spoken and written languages ​​of ethnic minorities; organizing training, teaching and fostering skills for artisans, communities and grassroots cultural officials; supporting equipment, community bookcases, means of grassroots cultural and sports activities; maintaining and developing cultural clubs and traditional art troupes; building a model of cultural preservation associated with tourism development, a model of specific ethnic sports; developing specific ethnic sports; building an information system and database of Vietnamese ethnic minority cultures; promoting propaganda and promotion of cultural tourism on media platforms.
