Growing up from 'Hanoi's Voice', singer Khanh Thy continues her musical dream

After the success of her debut album “Yes, I’m Getting Married,” on October 23, singer Khanh Thy returned with Vol.2 – a collection of 11 love songs that evoke youth, nostalgia and the gentle hidden corners of a woman’s soul.

The album ranges from immortal works by the golden generation of musicians such as Minh Ky, Lam Phuong, Truong Sa, Anh Bang to contemporary compositions by Duc Tri, Viet Anh, Phan Manh Quynh, Hamlet Truong. This not only brings diversity in music but also demonstrates Khanh Thy's desire to connect many generations of audiences: from those who love deep lyrical music to young audiences looking for something new and close.

Khanh Thy's Album Vol.2 includes 11 songs: "Da Lat sunset" (Da Cam), "Sad stone slab" (Dieu Huong), "Thuoi ay co em" (Huynh Anh), "Xuan thi" (Phan Manh Quynh), "Thanh pho fog" (Viet Anh), "Tra nong tinh xa" (Tuan Khanh), Medley "Xin con goi ten nhau" (Truong Sa) and "Dau tinh sau" (Ngo Thuy Mien), "Nguoi tinh" (Quynh Anh), "Cho em thoi tuoi ngoc" (Lam Phuong), "Linh hon tuong da" (Minh Ky, Le Dinh, Anh Bang), Medley "Yeu khong hoi ot" (Hamlet Truong) and "Ai chau noi dau nay" (Duc Tri).

Successful after the Hanoi Singing Contest 2023 of Hanoi Radio, with a solid technical foundation, Khanh Thy brings a youthful, pure voice but deep enough to handle soulful lyrical songs.

People's Artist Ha Thuy, who has trained many famous Vietnamese singers, assessed that Khanh Thy's voice has its own color, both soft and sweet, and has a rich emotional depth, creating a clear difference compared to many young singers of the same generation.

“I clearly see in Thy’s voice the maturity through each stage. If in the beginning, Thy sang with instinct, with primitive emotions; then now, after the experiences of happiness, suffering, success or failure, Khanh Thy’s voice has become softer, more feminine and much deeper. Thy knows how to use her own life experiences to interact with music and most importantly, to touch the hearts of listeners.
