The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has just issued a monthly climate trend forecast bulletin for the period from August 1 to 31, 2023.
Accordingly, the average temperature trend in August 2023 in the Northern and Central regions is 0.5-1.0 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years, and even higher in some places.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions are about 0.5 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years in the same period.
Rainfall in the Northern region is generally 10-25% lower than the average of many years, especially Lai Chau - Dien Bien at approximately the same level. The Central region is generally 15-30% lower; the Central Highlands and the Southern regions are generally approximately the same level as the average of many years in the same period.
