The oldest hotel in the ancient capital of Hue turns 122 years old

The hotel has 4 facades at the intersections of Le Loi - Hung Vuong, Hoang Hoa Tham - Truong Dinh ( Hue City, Thua Thien-Hue) next to Truong Tien Bridge with a poetic "view" of the Huong River.

The hotel was established in 1901 when Mr. Henri Bogaert, owner of Long Tho brick and tile factory, started construction and named it "Grand Hotel de Hue". In addition to serving tourists, Saigon Morin also took on the role of "guest house" of the Southern Dynasty Government and the Protectorate Government, the Central Region agency. The hotel quickly became the commercial, cultural and tourist center of the Hue capital during the Nguyen Dynasty.

In 1907, the hotel was transferred to the Morin brothers, named "Morin Frère" (Morin brothers hotel) and the name Morin has been associated with the history of the hotel since then until today.
