Opening a ceremony to pray for the souls of heroes and martyrs is one of the activities within the framework of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival .

According to Giac Ngo Online , the Ritual Committee previously invited the souls of the martyrs at the Mau Than year's martyrs memorial (Tan Nhut commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City) to be placed at the altar.

According to the plan, on May 6 and 7, the organizing committee will pray for national peace and prosperity and for the souls of heroes and martyrs twice a day, in the morning and afternoon.

The act of holding a memorial service for heroes and martyrs who died for independence and freedom shows the spirit of gratitude for the tradition of "protecting the country and bringing peace to the people" of today's generation to previous generations.

The organizers said that the ceremonies in the great vegetarian festival were conducted according to Buddhist rituals of the three regions of North - Central - South.
