Talking to reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper in the bustling atmosphere between competitions, Chairman of Hanoi Taekwondo Federation Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized: Over the years, Hanoi Taekwondo Federation has always closely associated with the Taekwondo Department - Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center (Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports) in carrying out the task of developing Taekwondo, both in terms of movement and peak. The Hanoi Taekwondo Federation is managing over 98 training points under 68 Federation member units, with about 12,000 regular practitioners, and the organization of the Hanoi Taekwondo Festival - Thang Long Cup for the first time in 2025 has created a playground for the top talents of clubs and training points, through which managers and experts can discover and train key elite cores, as successor forces for youth teams, city-level and national teams.

Although the Hanoi City Taekwondo Federation was only officially established in June 2023 , the Hanoi Taekwondo movement, with the participation of the Hanoi Taekondo Association, has had an impressive 37-year tradition of development.

Introducing Taekwondo and implementing Taekwondo training in Hanoi since 1988, up to now, the Hanoi Taekwondo movement has created many impressive milestones in both the movement and its peak, typically being awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the State to the Taekwondo Department (Hanoi Taekwondo Association).

Hanoi Taekwondo once had martial artists participating in the 2012 London Olympics (Chu Hoang Dieu Linh) and winning ASIAD medals (Do Thi Bich Hanh, Vu Anh Tuan, Bui Thu Hien - ASIAD 15 in 2006; Duong Thanh Tam - ASIAD 16 in 2010, Ha Thi Nguyen - ASIAD 17 in 2014)... Many Hanoi Taekwondo athletes won SEA Games gold medals, Asian and world single-event competitions.
