On the morning of October 10, at Viet Xo Vocational College No. 1, Phuc Yen city, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held the opening ceremony of the Sports Tournament for cadres, teachers, students, and trainees of vocationaleducation institutions in 2023.

The sports tournament was held for 4 days, from October 10 to 13; attracting the participation of more than 230 athletes from 12 vocational training institutions in the province, competing in 5 sports: table tennis, badminton, chess, volleyball, and men's soccer.
This is the third year the Sports Tournament for officials, teachers, students and pupils of vocational education institutions has been organized. The Sports Tournament aims to promote and improve the quality of physical education and sports movements; build a healthy living and learning environment to comprehensively develop the capacity and qualities of pupils, students as well as teachers and managers in vocational education institutions. At the same time, it enhances learning exchanges, creates solidarity and mutual understanding among vocational education institutions in the province.

Through sports tournaments to discover athletes with good achievements to select to participate in national sports competitions.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, athletes competed enthusiastically in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles in all 5 events.
