Opening of the mid-term review conference on the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress

On the morning of August 22, the Executive Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee held a mid-term review conference to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

Comrades Duong Van An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Doan Anh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were comrades representing the leaders of the Central Party Committees and more than 320 delegates, including members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations; leaders of district, town, and city Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities, and socio-political organizations...

Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council suggested: "The assessment of the results of the half-term implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress is very important; it must be carried out objectively, comprehensively, accurately reflecting the results achieved, difficulties, limitations, and obstacles; determining the causes of the limitations and obstacles, thereby determining the key tasks that need to be focused on from now until the end of the term".

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also said that in order to carry out the mid-term review, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee issued Plan No. 147-KH/TU dated April 11, 2023 to direct the implementation. By the end of the second quarter of 2023, the Party Committees under the province had completed the review; today, the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee held a conference to review 2.5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress. Therefore, at the conference, delegates need to focus on analyzing current difficulties and problems as well as their causes; thereby proposing solutions, identifying key tasks that the province needs to focus on implementing in the remaining time of the term, striving to achieve and exceed all set targets and tasks.

In October 2020, Binh Thuan successfully organized the 14th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. After half of the term, with the determination of the entire political system, the consensus and support of the people, the Provincial Party Committee has overcome many difficulties and challenges, implemented development programs, plans and projects and achieved many important and quite comprehensive results in all fields. Despite being severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the first year of the term; economic downturn due to the disruption of the global supply chain and the Russia-Ukraine conflict; however, the provincial economy has recovered quickly and continued to grow. Along with that, the province has focused on effectively removing remaining obstacles and difficulties, creating new momentum to promote socio-economic development in the coming time. The appearance of urban and rural areas continues to improve; people's lives have been raised; Policy families and poor households are increasingly better cared for. National defense and security are basically maintained. Party building and mass mobilization work have achieved comprehensive results in all aspects; the sense of responsibility and sense of organization and discipline of cadres, civil servants and public employees of the entire political system have been raised; the strength of the great national unity bloc has been consolidated and promoted; people of all walks of life trust, agree and support the province's policies and development orientations. In addition, there are still difficulties, obstacles, limitations and shortcomings that need to be focused on overcoming; some key targets set by the Provincial Party Congress are forecast to be difficult to achieve by the end of the term.
