The workshop is a meaningful activity in a series of events celebrating the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (1890-2025).

This is an important occasion for international delegates to share experiences in honoring the country's leader, the world's sentiments towards President Ho Chi Minh, experts, historical and cultural researchers to discuss intangible forms of honoring President Ho Chi Minh, and necessary factors in implementing the construction of Ho Chi Minh Space at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that in recent times, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has worked with ministries, branches and localities to carry out activities to promote and spread the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh across continents.
These efforts have contributed to bringing Uncle Ho's image closer to international friends, deepening cooperative relations, strengthening national solidarity, and preserving precious historical values.
Many constructions such as schools, roads, parks, museums named after President Ho Chi Minh, and monuments and memorial plaques in more than 30 countries and across continents have become important symbols and bridges between the Vietnamese people and the world.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu affirmed that in the era of national development, the Vietnamese diplomatic sector is determined to implement Resolution 59-NQ/TU dated January 24, 2025 of the Politburo on international integration in the new situation - "one of the four breakthrough pillars", pioneering in foreign affairs, promoting the image of Vietnam to the world.
In addition, the Cultural Diplomacy Strategy to 2030 also aims to build a "Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh Space" at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that the policy of building Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space on the one hand meets the need to standardize Vietnamese representative agencies, on the other hand helps to promote more effectively the work of introducing and honoring President Ho Chi Minh around the world in a synchronous manner.
The contents of the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space will become a common identification symbol of Vietnamese representative agencies, and at the same time become a multifunctional space for activities such as political activities, organizing cultural activities to serve the Vietnamese community abroad, officials and employees of representative agencies and a solemn place to organize foreign affairs activities.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, the construction of Ho Chi Minh Space requires comments from researchers and experts in culture, history, design and fine arts to ensure solemnity, intimacy and effective use.
“We especially appreciate the experience of foreign embassies in Vietnam, who have successfully built cultural spaces to honor their country’s leaders and celebrities. Your advice and sharing will be a valuable resource for us to implement effectively, synchronously, and internationally,” Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized.
Also within the framework of the Workshop, delegates visited the Photo Exhibition and Book Space introducing the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.
