30 years ago, Mr. Ngoc decided to leave his hometown Tuyen Quang with his wife and children to start a business in Uar commune. He rented land to grow cassava, raise cows, and lived frugally every day with the hope of a bright future in the new land. “In good harvest years, I save every penny to buy land for production; in bad harvest years, my wife and I work hard to overcome it,” Mr. Ngoc shared.
To date, he has owned more than 5 hectares of land for production, maintained a herd of nearly 10 cows and opened a grocery store to increase his income. His family has not only become well-off but also gradually stabilized their lives in the harsh production conditions of the Krong Pa region.
Not only taking care of the family economy , Mr. Ngoc is also diligent in learning and always takes the lead in applying scientific and technological advances to production. He fully participates in training courses and seminars organized by the Commune Farmers' Association; at the same time, he visits effective economic models to apply to his garden.
“In 2024, I invested in growing 5 hectares of cassava and tobacco. Before that, in 2021, realizing that Taiwanese mangoes are easy to grow, have few pests and diseases and are suitable for local soil conditions, I converted more than 1 hectare of land used for ineffective short-term crops to mango. The price is not high, but thanks to reasonable cultivation, my family has a steady income of 200-400 million VND per year after deducting investment costs,” Mr. Ngoc happily said.

What makes the locals admire Mr. Ngoc is not only his success in production, but also his willingness to share with people in difficult circumstances. For him, helping others overcome difficulties is not only a responsibility but also a joy.
He has lent money to dozens of poor households without interest, provided guidance on farming and animal husbandry techniques, and even directly found outlets for their products. These activities took place quietly and without fanfare, but everyone in the village knew and appreciated them.
Mr. Ksor Koi said: “My family used to be very poor, with little land and no capital. Mr. Ngoc lent me money, interest-free, and also taught me how to raise cows and grow cassava. Thanks to that, my family gradually escaped poverty and had a more stable life.”
Not only helping individuals, Mr. Ngoc is also a pioneer in participating in local movements. He donates land to build rural roads, contributes funds to build public works, supports the Education Promotion Fund and supports poor students to overcome difficulties. For him, community development is also the foundation for sustainable development of each family.
Commenting on his members, Mr. Giang Van Truong - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Uar Commune - said: Mr. Luong Bich Ngoc is one of the typical members of the commune. Not only is he good at economics, he also actively participates in movements, donates land to build roads, and supports members in difficulty to develop production.
In 2024, he was recognized as a good farmer and businessman at the district level. Ngoc's family's efforts to become a model in economic development have contributed to spreading the spirit of overcoming difficulties and legitimately enriching the community.
