Opening of the photo exhibition 'The Great Victory of Spring 1975 with the New Development Era of the Vietnamese People'

The exhibition displays more than 200 images, including 95 images showing the long, arduous and indomitable struggle of our army and people in the resistance war against America.

At the same time, the exhibition displays outstanding and typical works of the 3rd "Proud of a Border Strip" photo art composition contest. The contest is organized by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission in coordination with the Central External Relations Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security , the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Border Guard Command, and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

The contest aims to honor and depict the life, work, activities, and combat training of our army and people who are day and night firmly protecting the Fatherland's borders on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, said: “The exhibition highlights the image of workers, civil servants and laborers with a dynamic and self-reliant spirit. This is a pioneering force in the fields of scientific research, proactive administrative reform, access and application of modern technology, creating new methods and models, suitable for the practical characteristics of Ho Chi Minh City in terms of production and society in the new period”.

Mr. Le Ngoc Tan (33 years old, District 12) shared: “I learned a lot about history and when I came here, I couldn’t say anything more than two words of pride. The displayed images help me know more about the heroic historical value of the nation. This is also an opportunity for me and the next generation to understand more about the training and resilient fighting activities of our ancestors.”

The photo exhibition is taking place at 3 locations including Nguyen Hue walking street, Nguyen Du - Dong Khoi street and opposite Chi Lang park, District 1, from April 27 to May 5, 2025.

At the same time, on Nguyen Du - Dong Khoi street, the exhibition displays 70 images with the theme "Working class - The driving force in the movement to fight for national liberation and build a sustainable country" and 55 images with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of shining with his name" opposite Chi Lang park.
