- On the morning of April 23, at Lang Son Provincial Museum, the Lang Son Provincial Literature, Arts and Journalists Association solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Exhibition "Photography and Fine Arts of Lang Son 50 years after the country's reunification" (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification according to Plan No. 153-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Committee and Plan No. 47 of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee.
Attending the program were comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial Literature, Arts and Journalists Association and representatives of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the leader of the Provincial Association of Literature, Arts and Journalists emphasized: “The exhibition is an opportunity to recognize and honor the contributions of Lang Son photography and fine arts over the past 50 years, while affirming the role of art in serving political tasks, socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the province”.
The exhibition displays 112 works including 50 fine art works and 62 photography works by 68 authors and groups of authors who are members of the Provincial Association of Literature, Arts and Journalists. This is a gathering of three generations of artists, with works that have won high prizes at competitions, art photography festivals and fine art exhibitions in the province, the region, the country and internationally.
The works displayed at the exhibition are not only diverse in style, material and form of expression but also carry profound ideological values, vividly reflecting the beauty of Lang Son people, culture, landscapes and achievements in the renovation and construction of the homeland. Through the language of art, the artists arouse patriotism, self-reliance and the aspiration to develop a prosperous country.
The exhibition will take place from April 23 to May 1, 2025 at Lang Son Provincial Museum, promising to attract a large number of people and tourists to visit and enjoy. The event is not only an art space but also a bridge for the public to feel more deeply about the historical and cultural values and progress of Lang Son in the journey of 50 years after the country's reunification.
