The online exhibition “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom” introduces to the public valuable archival documents and illustrations about the Vietnamese people’s resilient struggle for nearly a century under colonial rule, as well as the journey of nation building over 80 years of independence.

Notably, many of these documents are being made available to the public for the first time.

The exhibition consists of 3 parts: Part 1: Dark night; Part 2: Vietnam - a resilient nation; Part 3: 80 years of the song of triumph.

Hundreds of documents, archival images combined with virtual online technology have created an interesting exhibition.

There, the public seemed to go back in time to the miserable years of their ancestors under colonial slavery; at the same time, they immersed themselves in the seething, heroic atmosphere of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Within the framework of the exhibition, National Archives Center I launched the book "The Governor-General's Palace of Indochina in the past and the Presidential Palace today".

The book is over 200 pages printed in color with many valuable architectural images.

The book is about the space of the Governor's Palace in the past and the Presidential Palace today from many sources.

The book not only describes the history of the formation of an architectural work, but more importantly, what happened during more than a century of existence in the center of a capital of French Indochina, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The book is written in short stories combined with authentic archival images, giving readers not only an understanding of an architectural space but also a historical space from prestigious to sacred, condensing a journey of fighting for national liberation and building national autonomy.

Not only is it a practical activity of the archives industry to celebrate the national holiday, but it also demonstrates the efforts of archivists in the context of the new technological revolution taking place strongly; contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo towards breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
