Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee. On the Ho Chi Minh City side, there was comrade Phan Van Mai, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Comrade Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee delivered the opening speech of the Northwest Culture - Sports - Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc emphasized: "The Northwest Culture - Sports - Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City is a place where cultural colors converge and meet, an opportunity to connect cultural and tourism products, contributing to promoting the connection and development of Dien Bien - Northwest tourism with the whole country and internationally. At the same time, promoting potential strengths, attracting investment, building unique tourism products, creating a step forward and consolidating and enhancing the cooperation between the Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City".

The Northwest Culture - Sports - Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City takes place from December 4 to 7 with a series of unique and attractive cultural activities such as: Experiencing the culture of the Thai, Mong, Dao ethnic communities; experiencing the Tang Cau ritual of the Thai ethnic group in Son La; the art program "Colors of Son La - Northwest"; street cultural parade with the theme "Dien Bien - Convergence of Colors"; photo exhibition; activities displaying and introducing culture, tourism, trade, agriculture of Son La and Dien Bien provinces...

At the opening ceremony, delegates and audiences enjoyed an art program with the theme “Vietnam, a wonderful country”. The program was divided into 3 chapters, with about 20 performances with the participation of more than 250 actors from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Son La, Dien Bien, and Ha Giang. The art program created a unique and attractive art space, bearing the mark of the Northwest highlands in the heart of the city named after Uncle Ho…

The program A Glimpse of Dien Bien performed by artists and actors of the Provincial Art Troupe introduces images of Dien Bien to tourists in Ho Chi Minh City.
The performance "Meeting in the Dream Forest" was performed by singers and actors from Dien Bien Art Troupe.
The opera performance by artists and actors from Ho Chi Minh City made a strong impression on the audience.
Nguyen Hue walking street was packed with tourists on the opening night of the Northwest Culture - Sports - Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition to enjoying the art program, visitors can also visit, shop and enjoy OCOP products of Dien Bien.
At the end of the opening program, delegates, artists, actors and tourists joined in the typical Xoe dance of the Northwest.
