Cau Ong Lanh Ward installs 400 cameras to prevent soliciting tourists

Currently, Cau Ong Lanh ward has a system of 400 cameras to monitor and promptly handle tourist solicitation and will continue to add cameras in the near future.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Minh Dung, chairwoman of the People's Committee of Cau Ong Lanh Ward, after reorganization, the ward's area is 1.6 ^{square kilometers} , with a population of nearly 80,000 people. Located in the city center, Cau Ong Lanh Ward has many advantages for developing commerce and services.

Currently, the ward has nearly 3,000 business households and individual businesses, nearly 3,200 enterprises and 2 cooperatives in operation that fulfill their tax obligations, mainly in accommodation, food and beverage services, wholesale and retail trade, banking and finance activities, and other service sectors.

At the launch ceremony of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Ward Business Association and the meeting to support businesses in 2025, some businesses reported that the problem of touting tourists still occurs, affecting the business environment and the local image.

Regarding this issue, a representative from the Cau Ong Lanh Ward Police said they have increased patrol forces, including the 363 patrol team operating continuously and setting up checkpoints in complex, crowded areas, especially at night and during peak periods.

In addition, local police forces are effectively utilizing a system of over 400 surveillance cameras to detect and promptly handle cases of violations and soliciting customers. At the same time, local police have been instructed to review and record additional locations requiring the installation of security surveillance equipment.

According to the leaders of Cau Ong Lanh ward, the launch of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Cau Ong Lanh Ward Business Association aims to create a common home for the government, businesses, and entrepreneurs in the ward.

This platform can connect, share experiences and knowledge, protect rights, foster cooperation, promote the development of member businesses, empower the community, and create a bridge connecting the government with businesses and between businesses themselves.

Local authorities also listened to the difficulties and obstacles, as well as acknowledged the contributions and suggestions from businesses, with the aim of building Cau Ong Lanh ward into a "new landmark - new appearance".
