Opening of the first international cruise on the route of Bac Bo Gulf - Hai Phong port

The opening of the international train is an important step in promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Vietnam to deepen and improve quality and efficiency.

On the morning of November 25, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong welcomed the delegation of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) at Cat Bi International Airport and attended the opening ceremony of the first train on the route of the Gulf of Tonkin - Hai Phong port at berths 3 and 4 of Lach Huyen port.

Also attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Vi Thao, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Regional Party Committee, Chairman of the Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China; Mr. O Quoc Quyen, Counselor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong emphasized that this is an important event not only for the maritime and logistics industries of Hai Phong and Guangxi, but also a step forward in economic and trade cooperation between the two localities, contributing to promoting economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China to achieve new achievements.

Over the years, the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and China has developed extensively in many fields. With the advantage of geographical location, modern seaport system and increasing demand for goods transportation, Vietnam and China have many opportunities to strongly develop transport routes connecting the region. Today's new transport route is a vivid demonstration of those practical cooperative efforts.

Comrade Hoang Minh Cuong also highly appreciated the support of the people's government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China; the efforts and close cooperation of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, Gulf of Tonkin Port Group and relevant units of Vietnam and China in the process of exchanging and promoting the formation of a new transport route between Hai Phong port and the Gulf of Tonkin.

This transit route contributes to enhancing trade circulation, promoting regional supply chains, reducing costs for businesses, creating a safe, efficient and sustainable maritime transport route between the two sides.

Hai Phong always attaches importance to and encourages friendly bilateral cooperation, mutual respect and development. In the coming time, both sides need to take advantage of their advantages and continue to expand cooperation in areas such as seaport services, logistics, trade, etc. Thereby, contributing positively to the economic development of the two countries, the two localities and the whole region.
