
Speaking at the opening of the event, Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang said: "In the current context, when the cause of preserving and promoting the great and challenging heritage values of the city".
The opening of the special exhibition “National Treasures - Heritage in the heart of Da Nang” at the Museum of Cham Sculpture is a very meaningful activity, expressing the love and pride of Da Nang people for the national cultural heritage. At the same time, it affirms the role of the city in the work of preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural values.

The national treasures introduced today are not only legacies of the past, but also a source of inspiration, pride and responsibility for us today and tomorrow.
The thematic exhibition “National Treasures - Heritage in the heart of Da Nang”, is the first event, introducing to the public full information and images of 19 national treasures in the new city of Da Nang.

Visitors will have the opportunity to directly admire 14 original artifacts and 2 versions. The remaining 3 treasures, due to their connection to the relic and the requirements of preservation work, will be introduced through documents and photo collections that will be exhibited simultaneously.
The event not only honors the cultural and historical values of 19 treasures but also affirms the role of heritage in the sustainable development of Da Nang - where the past lives and the present continues in the journey of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.

Through the meaning and value of 19 national treasures, the exhibition presents a picture of the new Da Nang city with an expanded geographical space, the land of birth, convergence and exchange of many cultures such as Sa Huynh, Dong Son and ancient kingdoms such as Champa and Dai Viet.
Two Dong Son cultural treasures, belonging to the Hoang Long collection, including the Dong Son bronze drum and bronze jar, are vivid evidence of the bronze casting technique and the level of civilization of the ancient Vietnamese people from the 3rd to 1st century BC; 2 treasures from the Sa Huynh culture, the Lai Nghi gold jewelry collection and the Lai Nghi animal-shaped agate beads, belonging to the collection of the Da Nang Museum.

In particular, 15 Champa cultural treasures in the collections of the Cham Sculpture Museum (12 artifacts), the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board (2 artifacts), and the Da Nang Museum (1 artifact) are vivid masterpieces, demonstrating the continuity in the development, integration and cultural assimilation process of the Central region from the 7th to the 13th century with the profound influence of Hinduism and Buddhism.
The exhibition "National Treasures - Heritage in the heart of Da Nang" runs until December 25.
