The system of grassroots cultural houses promotes effectiveness
The Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium project has a total cost of more than 500 billion VND, invested by the Thai Nguyen Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, and started construction in October 2022.

The project is located on an area of over 14 hectares in Phuc Triu commune (Thai Nguyen city), is the largest stadium in the province, meeting international standards. The stadium includes a main football field, a 22,000-seat grandstand and many modern items, suitable for organizing major sporting events.
After more than two years of implementation, the project has basically completed the structure and auxiliary items.
At the same time, the province is also renovating and upgrading the Multi-purpose Sports Hall with the goal of turning it into a center for organizing indoor tournaments.
The project to renovate the Provincial Sports Stadium, which started construction in December 2023, has a total investment of nearly 40 billion VND, with the same Project Management Board as the investor. This is currently the largest stadium in the province.
Before July 2025, the whole province had 2,170/2,206 hamlets and residential groups with cultural houses and sports grounds; of which 1,734 works met standards. From 2021 to now, more than 600 cultural houses and sports grounds have been newly built or repaired, ensuring the criteria of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
A typical example is the Bo Dau hamlet cultural house (Co Lung commune) - the first hamlet cultural house in Phu Luong district (before the implementation of the 2-level government), meeting new rural standards.
Most cultural houses meet the requirements of space, have a stage, slogans, national flag, podium, sound system and enough seats. This is a place for community activities, meetings, physical exercise and organizing cultural activities, helping to improve spiritual life and strengthen community solidarity.

Community Cultural House – a space to connect and preserve identity
Center for transmitting policies to the people
The Cultural House is an important place to implement the Party's policies and the State's laws. Here, people directly build conventions and village rules, and participate in building a civilized lifestyle.
The loudspeaker system helps to convey current information, provide production instructions, launch emulation movements, praise exemplary households, and promptly warn of deviations.
Therefore, the Cultural House is truly a community center, where people have full access to information, raise legal awareness and join hands to build an advanced residential area.
Many hamlets and residential groups are continuing to build new and complete cultural houses according to standards. In the past 5 years, the whole province has had 1,734 cultural houses and sports grounds supported by the State and matched by the people, reaching 80% of hamlets and residential groups with standard facilities - completing the province's goal.
The story in Coc Moc hamlet (Linh Thong commune, Dinh Hoa district before the implementation of the 2-level government) is a clear example. Previously, the hamlet had 2 cultural houses but they did not meet the standards. After being mobilized, 109 households agreed to contribute 2.5 million VND/household to build new ones. Thanks to the joint efforts of the people and the support of the State, the hamlet now has a cultural house that meets the standards.
In the past 5 years, Dinh Hoa district alone has built or repaired more than 100 cultural houses. The government has supported 200 million VND/new house, 100 million VND/repaired house, along with 30-40 tons of cement depending on the area, helping to reduce the burden on the people.
In Phu Luong, from 2021 to early 2025, the district will support more than 2 billion VND to build new and repair cultural houses. Many other localities also effectively mobilize people's strength to complete standard works.

Cultural convergence, preserving identity and promoting solidarity
The Cultural House is not only a meeting place but also a “common home” of the community. This is where the Great Unity Day, mass art performances, scholarship awards, farewell ceremonies for new recruits, and cultural and sports club activities regularly take place. Thanks to this, bad customs are pushed back, and people’s spiritual life is increasingly enriched.
Cultural houses also contribute to preserving traditional values, being a place to meet and exchange about customs and practices, thereby raising awareness of preserving and promoting national identity. In the digital age, cultural houses also help people equip themselves with knowledge to protect themselves from risks in cyberspace.
Many people said that since the Cultural House - a spacious and safe sports playground - was built, they have been more active in participating in cultural and sports activities. On holidays and New Year, the Cultural House grounds are always bustling with flags and flowers, creating an exciting and healthy atmosphere.
Every year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen organizes training courses to improve management skills and organization of activities for cultural officers at district and commune levels and those in charge of cultural houses in hamlets and residential groups.
Thereby, the facility fully grasps the directive documents, flexibly applies them in practice, ensures unity and promotes creativity in operations.
Thanks to synchronous solutions, the system of cultural houses and sports centers in the province has become a sustainable foundation for building a rich and unique cultural life, meeting the increasing needs of the people.
