At the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Organization Committee Le Trung Kien announced the decision of the Hanoi Party Committee's Standing Committee on the establishment of the Press Center to serve the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee.
According to comrade Le Trung Kien (also Deputy Director of the Press Center serving the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee), with a system of modern equipment, the Press Center will be the focal point for coordinating and providing official information, images and sounds about the activities of the Congress; providing maximum support to reporters and editors of press agencies during their work.
The Center will operate from October 14 to 17 at the National Convention Center - where the working sessions of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress will take place. During this time, the Organizing Committee will issue press releases after each session and hold a press conference to inform about the results of the Congress on the afternoon of October 17.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Dao Xuan Dung (Director of the Press Center serving the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee) said that the Center's operation is an important preparatory step, demonstrating the special attention of the city's leaders to information and propaganda work before, during and after the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee.
According to Director of the Press Center serving the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee Dao Xuan Dung, the Congress has the task of reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the City Party Committee (term 2020-2025); deciding on the goals, directions, and tasks of building and developing the Capital for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045; electing the 18th City Party Committee Executive Committee and electing the Delegation to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party; and at the same time discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th Congress of the Party.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the 18th Congress of Hanoi Party Committee has a particularly important meaning, guiding the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all walks of life in the capital to seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and be determined to build a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" capital, pioneering with the whole country to enter a new era - an era of prosperous and powerful development of the Vietnamese people, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the country's development goals until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
