Locals and tourists can easily access information about heritage sites through the provided QR codes.

According to the plan of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, by 2030, Khanh Hoa aims to digitize 100% of its officially recognized cultural heritage, from national tangible and intangible heritage to national relics, artifacts, and treasures. Along with this, 100% of professional staff in this field will receive training to improve their digital transformation skills.

The overall goal of the plan is to build a unified cultural heritage database system based on digital technology . This system will not only serve the purposes of archiving, managing, researching, and preserving cultural values, but also help promote cultural values effectively, meeting the needs of the community anytime, anywhere.

According to Mr. Tran Duc Ha, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, the official website at http://ditichkhanhhoa.org.vn currently serves as the main information channel, helping tourists and locals easily access unique cultural heritage sites.

The Po Nagar Cham Towers, a special national monument, is one of the famous destinations that tourists are interested in when visiting Nha Trang.

The interactive digital map at http://bando.ditichkhanhhoa.org.vn has created a unique experience. By clicking on the flag icon on the map, users can listen to automatic commentary in two languages (Vietnamese and English) about 16 National Monuments and Special National Monuments (formerly Khánh Hòa province), helping them explore heritage in a visual and engaging way.

In addition, QR codes providing information about these sites have been installed at several historical locations in the province. Locals and tourists can simply use their smartphones with internet access to scan the QR code and view the necessary information without needing a guide as before.

Embracing technological trends, the Center for Cultural Heritage Preservation has pioneered the deployment of VR360 virtual reality technology at the Po Nagar Cham Towers. Through the link https://vr360.com.vn/projects/ponagar-nhatrang/, visitors can explore the Po Nagar Cham Towers in a vivid, lifelike manner, transcending the limitations of space and time.

Tourists get updated information at historical sites in Khanh Hoa.

The digitization of records for classified historical sites in Khanh Hoa province has yielded high efficiency in archiving, managing, and utilizing information. Currently, the Center for Cultural Heritage Conservation is continuing to update the software to digitize the classified historical site records of Southern Khanh Hoa (formerly Ninh Thuan province) and will expand this work to all historical sites in the province in the near future.

These efforts not only help to carry out conservation work in a scientific and effective manner, but also open up opportunities to promote Khanh Hoa's cultural heritage to domestic and international tourists in a broader and more modern way.

Khanh Hoa province boasts a rich cultural heritage, especially after the merger of the former Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces. The province currently possesses 257 ranked cultural heritage sites, including 3 intangible cultural heritage sites recognized by UNESCO: Southern Vietnamese folk music (Don Ca Tai Tu), Central Vietnamese Bai Choi folk singing, and the traditional Cham pottery making.

Three special national monuments include: Po Nagar Cham Towers, Po Klong Garai Tower, and Hoa Lai Tower. There are 33 national-level monuments, including valuable national treasures such as the Khanh Son Stone Musical Instrument Collection, the Hoa Lai Stele, and the statue of King Po Klong Garai.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, emphasized that digitalization is an inevitable direction to spread these cultural and historical values and attract tourists in the context of modern tourism. Digital transformation has changed the traditional approach, making heritage information more easily accessible and overcoming the limitations of old methods of presentation.

With strong investment in digital transformation, Khanh Hoa is ushering in a new era for the Culture and Tourism industry, transforming cultural heritage into vibrant and attractive experiences for both domestic and international tourists.
