Inauguration of 9-storey parking lot in Can Tho

With an area of ​​21,000 m2 and a total investment of more than 158 billion VND, the parking center in Ninh Kieu district can accommodate 1,000 cars and motorbikes using smart technology.

The parking center was inaugurated on September 20, after three years of construction, with the Can Tho City Development Investment Fund as the investor. The project is built on an area of ​​2,600 m2, including: a 9-storey car service building and a 5-storey commercial and business building.

This is the first, largest and most modern parking lot in Can Tho City. The project can accommodate 306 cars under 17 seats and 712 motorbikes, with a vertical rotating smart parking system, installed on the first floor including 6 modules, capacity of 72 cars.

The building also has two high-capacity elevators to lift cars to the floors. Motorcycles are arranged with separate spiral paths to the floors. Automatic fire protection system using Foam.

Mr. Le Van Thong, Director of the Can Tho City Development Investment Fund, said that the parking center operates quickly and efficiently thanks to the application of advanced technology, camera surveillance, and control of vehicle traffic in and out using a magnetic card system and license plate recognition.

For now, the parking center will operate free of charge from today until the end of November, from 5am to 10pm every day. After that, it will charge a fee of VND20,000-25,000 per hour and VND1-1.5 million/month for cars. The parking fee for motorbikes according to Can Tho government regulations is VND3,000-6,000 per turn.

According to the planning approved by the People's Committee of Can Tho City, there are 168 parking lots calling for investment and construction with a total area of ​​nearly 29 hectares. Of which, the most is Ninh Kieu district with 68 lots, followed by Binh Thuy district with 22 lots, Cai Rang district with 21, O Mon district with 21... The least is Phong Dien district with 4 lots.
