Defeating the Philippines 3-0 in the final match, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team successfully defended the AVC Nations Cup championship. This is the third consecutive time Thanh Thuy and her teammates have won the Asian tournament.

In the final match against the Philippines, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played with great excitement on home ground.

This is the third consecutive AVC Nations Cup championship for the Vietnamese girls.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team won all the matches, losing only one set to Kazakhstan in the semi-finals.

In addition to the championship, the home team received many individual awards. Accordingly, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy was voted the best main attacker, Bich Tuyen the best opposite setter and best player of the tournament, Khanh Dang received the best libero award.

The Philippines brought a young team to the tournament, reaching the final was a successful result.

Vietnam women's volleyball team received bonus after winning the championship.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and Tran Thi Thanh Thuy lifted the Championship Cup together.

"Before the tournament, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team felt a bit of pressure when competing with the goal of winning the championship at home. Not only the main squad but also the reserve players made the coaching board satisfied. We determined that this was just a tournament to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. From now until then, there is still a long way to go, the team will change the players to suit the tournaments to find the 14 best players by the end of the year," coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet assessed the tournament.

"The most important thing is the unity of the athletes. When united, the blocking and attacking ability of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will be good. However, we still have some things to improve such as defense and first pass," Mr. Kiet shared.

This is the first international tournament in 2025 for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

The Vietnamese girls still have many important tournaments ahead, including the World Cup and SEA Games 33.
