Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized that in recent years, Quang Tri province has achieved many remarkable achievements in providing domestic water, especially in rural areas. However, there are still many communes and villages in coastal and mountainous areas that do not have access to clean water sources that meet standards.

With the goal of improving the quality of life of rural people and ensuring access to clean water, the Provincial People's Committee has directed departments and branches to closely coordinate with Quang Tri Clean Water Joint Stock Company and local authorities to develop and implement the project.

The implementation of the project is an important step in the roadmap to cover the entire province with a standard and sustainable domestic water supply network. The project not only contributes to solving the shortage of domestic water but also serves as a foundation to promote economic development, improve public health, reduce diseases, and ensure social security for the people.

At the same time, this is a project of practical significance in promoting the completion of criteria on the rate of rural households using clean water that meets the standards in the National Criteria for New Rural Development in a sustainable manner and realizing the goal of having 97.5% of rural households using hygienic water by 2025, striving to reach 98% by 2030 according to the Resolution of the 17th Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

Departments and branches continue to support and create favorable conditions to promptly resolve difficulties and problems arising during project implementation.

Local authorities and people need to accompany and support investors and construction units in the process of site clearance, construction protection, creating favorable conditions for the construction process, and ensuring security and order.
