Hero Nup, whose real name is Dinh Nup (1914-1999), is an indomitable monument in the hearts of the people of the Central Highlands. The life and career of Hero Nup is not only the pride of the Bahnar people but also a shining symbol of the resilient fighting spirit of the Vietnamese people.

During the years of resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism, Kbang in general and Stor village in particular were the places that marked many heroic battles of our army and people. The village was repeatedly swept and destroyed by the enemy, but the people here still resolutely held on, keeping the flame of revolution alive.
In 2010, the Nup Hero Memorial House was started and inaugurated on May 6, 2011. This is where images and memorabilia of his life are preserved, demonstrating the glorious feats and simple life of the national hero. The memorial house is the clearest evidence of the brave spirit of the Central Highlands people in the resistance wars against invaders.

The Nup Hero Memorial House is a harmonious combination of traditional and modern architecture, bearing the characteristics of Bahnar culture. The interior of the memorial house is divided into many exhibition areas through different periods so that visitors can easily grasp historical information. The most prominent area is the area simulating a corner of the old Stor village, where Nup Hero and the villagers rose up to fight the French with primitive but effective fighting methods using spikes, arrows, stone traps, etc. Other areas display artifacts and images through the time from 1945 until his death. Along with the images and documents about Nup Hero's revolutionary life, we were especially impressed by his close friendship and comradeship with Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

Ms. Nong Thi Canh - Manager of the Nup Hero Memorial House - said: "Currently, this place is displaying about 281 images, documents, and memorabilia about Nup Hero. If we combine the cultural artifacts of the Bahnar people such as costumes, production tools, etc., the memorial house is preserving over 400 artifacts, documents, and images. To create newness and attraction, the staff regularly rotate and change the exhibits."
According to Ms. Canh, all the artifacts and photos of Hero Nup during his lifetime were given by his family. Seeing some of the artifacts such as the speech, the books Hero Nup read during his lifetime, the bow and arrow he used for hunting… we could not help but be moved.

In the diary recording the feelings of visitors to the memorial house, we were impressed with a passage shared by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung - Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education: "The trip brought the delegation many emotional feelings, pride in Hero Nup and the children of the Central Highlands mountains and forests in the resistance wars against foreign invaders. His sacrifice, steadfast fighting, overcoming all hardships is a great motivation to help the school's cadres and party members become stronger, more determined to unite, work creatively to contribute, build the school and the country prosperous and beautiful. Sincerely grateful to Hero Nup and the people of the Central Highlands".
Not only Mr. Trung, in each page of the diary there are many beautiful words expressing the pride and gratitude of tourists for Hero Nup. According to statistics, after the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of visitors here increased by about 3,000/year compared to before.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Huong - Deputy Director of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Kbang district - said: On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the district plans to display some more images related to Hero Nup, and at the same time add artifacts to enrich the display space, thereby serving tourists who love culture and history to return to the homeland of the hero.
