On social networks, many Facebook and Zalo accounts changed their background and profile pictures to the image of the red flag with a yellow star, the logo of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, and the beautiful peace. People posted and shared many articles and documentaries about Uncle Ho, about the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign with its glorious battles and resounding victories, about talented generals and revolutionary heroes who were determined to die for the Fatherland, for the independence and freedom of the nation. At the same time, they continuously updated information about the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country taking place across the country, especially in Ho Chi Minh City - where the national celebration took place.

Nguyen Thi Nhat Minh, a student at Ben Tre Secondary School, took advantage of the weekend to invite her friends to a place decorated with flags and flowers to take souvenir photos with pride. "I was born in peacetime, but watching documentaries and reading newspapers makes me extremely proud and vows to forever remember the merits of our ancestors who shed so much blood so that we can have a peaceful life like today," Nhat Minh shared.
In addition, the provincial departments and agencies organized meaningful activities. In the province, recently, the Provincial People's Committee organized the inauguration ceremony of Tran Van An Traditional Medicine Hospital (phase 2); started construction of Bung Lac Dia historical - cultural revolutionary relic site and launched the project to restore and embellish Phu Le communal house architectural relic. The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate major holidays: 50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 50 years of Ben Tre Province Liberation (May 1, 1975 - May 1, 2025); 139 years of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025); presented the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Prize in Ben Tre province.
The Border Guard Art Troupe has just organized an art performance program. The Provincial Youth Union organized a provincial-level thematic activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Ben Tre province with the theme "Unifying the country, unifying the people".
In addition, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also organized the program "Reenacting the Victory News" on the Tuoi Tre Ben Tre fanpage: "We invite you to listen to the victory news we just received. At exactly 11:30, our army entered Saigon and captured the Independence Palace. The puppet General Staff - Duong Van Minh surrendered unconditionally. The red flag with the yellow star fluttered on the roof of the Independence Palace. The Ho Chi Minh Campaign was a complete victory." Only 15 minutes after the historic event of April 30, 1975, the first Victory News was broadcast on the radio of the Voice of Vietnam, read by Meritorious Artist Kim Cuc.

Towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, many meaningful activities for students have been carried out by kindergartens and primary schools in the province, contributing to spreading the spirit of patriotism, pride and gratitude to the generations of fathers and grandfathers who sacrificed their blood for the independence and freedom of the nation.
