Biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation

(QBĐT) - On May 29, the Department of Agriculture and Environment in collaboration with the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and the Center for Research on Upland Resource Management (CEGORN) organized a workshop to launch the project Supporting Vietnam in implementing the Paris Agreement - Phase II to deploy the project in the two provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.

The main objective of the project is to support the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change (CC), nationally determined contributions, towards the goal of net zero emissions by 2050 and the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity.

At the workshop, delegates presented preliminary results of the survey to select project implementation locations and potential adaptation solutions; at the same time, proposed to implement the project in 15 communes of Tuyen Hoa, Bo Trach and Minh Hoa districts.
