As of this morning, the flooding situation in Chau Thanh village has decreased compared to the previous day. However, most of the houses and roads in the low-lying village are still deeply flooded, the whole village is still isolated. Heavy rain and flooding have damaged and swept away many properties and crops. Because the water level is still high, it is not possible to estimate the damage.
Visiting, giving gifts and encouraging households in Chau Thanh village - where more than one hundred households were isolated by floodwaters and facing many difficulties in life, local leaders kindly asked and shared the difficulties that the families suffered during the flood; at the same time, hoped that people would try to overcome all difficulties.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Commune People's Council, highly appreciated the participation of the entire political system as well as the efforts of households in proactively overcoming difficulties and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. He requested agencies, departments, branches and organizations of the commune to coordinate to help people overcome the consequences caused by floods. Organize to grasp the situation, promptly support people, absolutely not let people go hungry. Wherever the water recedes, mobilize forces to help people clean up their houses, in order to stabilize their lives soon; support people to restore production after the flood. Pay attention to disease prevention measures, as soon as the water recedes, disinfect and sterilize immediately; fully and promptly implement support policies, ensuring the right subjects and the right regime.
