Delegation of Lang Son province visited and worked in Italy and Spain

During the working trip, the delegation of Lang Son province attended the agendas and worked with the World Agricultural Market Coalition (WorldFMC), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Secretariat of the Milan Urban Food Policy Treaty (MUFPP) and the Embassy of Vietnam in Spain.

At the 3rd WorldFMC General Assembly held in Rome, Italy, the Delegation attended the Opening Ceremony and the discussion session on “Food for Peace ”, exchanged and worked with partners in WorldFMC, and participated in the Biodiversity Exhibition, displaying the province’s OCOP products and foreign information publications promoting the province’s potential strengths.

Attending the Milan 2025 Urban Food Policy Pact Global Forum held in Milan, Italy, the Delegation attended the Forum's Opening Plenary Session, the Plenary Session on the Pact situation, the regional situation and the School Meals Alliance Plenary Session; met and exchanged with partners and member cities within the framework of the Forum.

Talking with partners in Italy, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council expressed his thanks for inviting Lang Son province to participate in programs and events. He introduced the province's potential and strengths in general; expressed his hope that partners would pay attention, connect and support agricultural development projects, improve livelihoods and reduce poverty sustainably; support Lang Son province in the process of restructuring the agricultural sector towards increasing added value and developing green, sustainable and smart; promote cultural and tourism cooperation, especially in preserving cultural heritage; attract ODA capital in the fields of renewable energy and green growth; help introduce and promote the image, potential, strengths and cooperation needs of the province to localities, agencies and organizations in the host country.

The partners welcomed the Lang Son Provincial Delegation to attend the programs and events in Italy; highly appreciated the contents shared by the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; expressed their agreement with the cooperation orientations and proposals of Lang Son Province. Representatives of agencies and organizations affirmed their desire to continue maintaining relations, enhancing information exchange and promoting practical and effective cooperation activities in areas of mutual interest and expressed their hope to soon visit and work directly in the province in the near future.

During the visit and working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in Spain, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council informed about the situation of the province, especially about the potential, strengths and cooperation needs of the province with Spanish partners; expressed the wish that the Embassy would continue to pay attention and support Lang Son province to promote cooperative relations with partners, support the introduction of Spanish enterprises to the province to survey and learn about cooperation and investment needs, especially in the fields of energy and green growth, agriculture, high technology, culture - tourism.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Spain Doan Thanh Song affirmed that the Embassy is always ready to accompany and support the province in promoting cooperation with Spanish localities and enterprises where Lang Son province has strengths and needs for cooperation. He said that Lang Son province has the potential to cooperate with Spanish partners in the fields of agriculture or wind power development. The Embassy receives information and needs from Lang Son province and will actively exchange, connect, and support the province to promote practical cooperation with Spanish partners in the coming time.

The successful organization of the provincial delegation's visit and working trip to Italy and Spain has helped promote, introduce and provide information to Italian and Spanish partners about the province's potentials, development strengths as well as cooperation needs; is an important connecting step, opening up cooperation prospects, bringing practical results to agencies, organizations and enterprises of Italy and Spain in the future./ .
