Groundbreaking ceremony of the project to serve the site clearance for the construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches; leaders of Bat Xat commune and a large number of local people.

The project is implemented in Bat Xat commune, Lao Cai province.

The scale of the construction project includes leveling the ground and investing in the construction of essential technical infrastructure systems, including leveling items, building new traffic routes, power supply systems, lighting, water supply systems, surface drainage, and wastewater drainage with a total area of about 75 hectares, of which the land area created to accommodate 34 enterprises related to import-export activities in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park is 35.3 hectares, the rest is traffic land, infrastructure, slopes, green land and earth fill.

Comrade Vu Lan, Director of Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, reported on the project preparation process.

The project has a total investment of 510.4 billion VND from the central budget, with the goal of creating a site to arrange and move production facilities in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park to serve the site clearance for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project.

Truong Son Construction Corporation is the contractor for this package, the construction period is 300 days (from August 2025 to the end of May 2026).

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized: This is one of the six key projects of the province to practically celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The project serves the construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway investment project, which is a national key project to create a vital transport axis not only for domestic but also to connect international transport.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.

He expressed his belief that the drastic participation of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the high sense of responsibility of investors, consultants and contractors will be important steps in accelerating the site clearance progress, fully preparing conditions so that the entire railway line can start construction before December 19, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister.
