No ban on gasoline vehicles in Cua Nam ward, Hanoi city

On August 4, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City, responded to some information circulating on social networks about banning gasoline-powered vehicles in the ward and supporting people to switch to electric vehicles when piloting a low-emission zone.

According to Mr. Vu Tuan Trung, Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward, on July 24, the leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee had a working session with Cua Nam Ward on a number of issues, including the implementation of low-emission zones in Hanoi. At the meeting, the leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and advise the Hanoi People's Committee to submit to the Hanoi People's Council a Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution 47/2024/NQ-HDND dated December 12, 2024 of the Hanoi People's Council, and at the same time study and develop a project for low-emission zones in Ring Road 1. Regarding the conversion of clean means of transport, the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward will comply with Directive 20/CT-TTg dated July 12 of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent tasks to drastically prevent and resolve environmental pollution and follow the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee.
