No interruption in exam marking after merger, putting candidates' interests first

On July 2, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong and his delegation inspected the grading of the 2025 high school graduation exam in Bac Ninh province.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, after the merger, Bac Ninh province has about 43,700 candidates taking the exam, the majority of whom are candidates taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program (more than 98%).

At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh, Bach Dang Khoa, gave an example of an exam marking area in Bac Giang ward that had arranged separate rooms for marking essay and multiple-choice exams, preserving exam papers, and working for the secretariat.

These locations all have security cameras, monitoring and recording all activities 24/7. In addition to education personnel, police, medical, security and service forces are also specifically trained.

The examination council has prepared contingency plans for emergencies such as fire prevention and fighting, ensuring the local network system and the operation of electronic equipment systems (servers, printers, exam scanners, etc.). Exam cabinets and exam boxes are all locked and sealed according to regulations.

It is expected that Bac Ninh will complete grading essay tests on July 7, multiple-choice tests on July 10 and announce the overall scores of the whole province according to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.

After listening to the report, Professor Huynh Van Chuong - Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) - reminded that the exam marking process must be careful and ensure accuracy, especially when there are two general education programs 2018 and 2006.

Absolutely safe, secure information, especially before the official score announcement. Exam score entry must be accurate, avoid errors, and ensure the rights of candidates.

Concluding the working session, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong sent his best wishes to the officers and teachers working at the exam marking sites and highly appreciated the leaders of the Department of Education and Training in advising the Provincial People's Committee to complete the steering committee and exam marking committee when arranging administrative units.

"The examiners must ensure fairness, accurately assess the test results and acknowledge the students' efforts to give them scores. The spirit is to put the interests of the candidates first," Mr. Thuong expressed.
