New living space for Ninh Hoa people

During the Lunar New Year, Ninh Hoa town put into use the 2-4 Square space. This place quickly became a meeting place for the town's residents to meet, exchange, have fun, exercise and enjoy cultural and artistic activities.

Although only established in early December 2024, members of the Ninh Hoa Runners Club have organized many running exchange activities on weekends. And the meeting place for runners after finishing their training session is usually 2-4 Square. In the middle of a large, spacious space with beautiful check-in locations, members took souvenir photos together, or simply sat around chatting to strengthen their connection. On the club's fanpage, members posted many photos taken at 2-4 Square, along with many opinions about the square of their hometown. Member Phu Bui wrote: "From above, 2-4 Square looks like a large and magnificent stadium. If we organize a race here in 2025, how would everyone feel? The feeling of running will be like reaching the top of the ceiling and fluttering in the wind."

Having the opportunity to visit 2-4 Square on the eve of the Lunar New Year, we felt more clearly the necessity of this project for the people of Ninh Hoa town. For the first time, in a large space, people were able to comfortably watch the unique lion and dragon dance performances of clubs from communes and wards in the town. This was followed by a music and dance performance program for the public. In particular, the people of the town were able to watch the New Year fireworks display right at the square. Many beautiful images of 2-4 Square on New Year's Eve were spread on social networks. “This is the first time I have seen music and fireworks in such a beautiful place in my hometown. I hope that in the future there will be more cultural, artistic, sports events... held here for people to enjoy, as well as for the square to fully utilize its functions,” said Mr. Tong Quang Hung (Ninh Binh commune). Ms. Nguyen Phuong Duyen (Ninh Hiep ward): “For a long time, our people have lacked a public space to have fun or participate in cultural and sports activities. Therefore, when 2-4 Square was completed and put into use, we were very happy. The square has a large area, is in a convenient location and has all the necessary construction items.”

Construction started in late September 2022, 2-4 Square is located in Residential Group 14 (Ninh Hiep Ward), with a total area of ^17,375m2 . The project is shaped like a boat with the bow facing the East Sea. The square is divided into 2 areas, separated by the 2-4 road axis, in which the stage area is located in the west and the square area is located in the east. The stage area has an architecture that is in harmony with the space and general architecture, this is also the stage for organizing art performances; embracing the stage is a semicircular and fan-shaped flower bed planted with many types of flowers and ornamental plants. The square area has construction items such as: Fountain; flagpole; service block; internal road yard; trees, lawns; parking lot...

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung - Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Ninh Hoa town, the construction and putting into use of 2-4 Square has met the needs of daily life and cultural exchange of people inside and outside Ninh Hoa town; at the same time, it contributes to creating urban beauty for the locality, gradually synchronizing with the infrastructure in the area. This place has become a meeting place for many sports, cultural and artistic groups in the town.
