Unique Vietnamese-Korean cultural and artistic space in Hai Phong

NDO - On the evening of May 17, at Hai Phong City Theater Square, there was a performance by the Bujihwa Art Troupe, Korea, organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of the city and the Korean Association in Hai Phong city.

The program is part of a series of activities of the International Week, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong - Heroic City (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025).

With the participation of Bujihwa Art Troupe from Korea, the program brought to the audience of the Port City unique art performances, blending the traditional identity and modern spirit of the two countries Vietnam and Korea.

Bujihwa Art Troupe, consisting of many professional artists, singers, dancers, musicians and students from prestigious art schools in Korea, has brought a colorful cultural picture, full of exchange and sharing.

Hai Phong audiences enjoyed elaborate and emotional art performances such as “Beautiful Country” - a symphony about people, nature and love for the homeland, or Korean dance to the song “I am Hai Phong” - a subtle combination of the proud and strong spirit of the people of the Port City with the traditional movement language of the land of Kim Chi.

"Nanta Drum Play"

In addition, traditional and modern musical instrument performances such as Janggu drum solo “Seol Janggu”, sword dance “Jang Geom Mu” and many exciting Vietnamese-Korean mashup dance performances really conquered the audience.

Not only is it an artistic playground, the program also creates a meaningful cultural exchange space when people and tourists have the opportunity to directly participate in the activity of "Playing Nanta Drums" under the guidance of Korean artists, feeling the vibrant and joyful drum beats imbued with the spirit of connection and sharing.
