Journalist Ta Quang Dung, Head of the Culture and Society Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament, shared that this year's tournament is the largest ever, gathering 22 delegations with more than 200 top athletes from across the country. The close coordination between Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation and local authorities, especially the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang, are important factors in ensuring the tournament takes place smoothly in terms of both expertise and community influence.

Director of the Vietnam Sports Department Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet affirmed that the Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship is one of the long-standing tournaments with high professional quality in the national competition system. Da Nang hosting the tournament in 2025 not only affirms the orientation of professionalizing high-performance sports, but also demonstrates the trend of linking sports with tourism, media and community.

According to the direction of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, in the coming time, major sports tournaments will continue to be brought to localities with advantages in tourism and cultural infrastructure such as: Da Nang, Quang Ninh, Can Tho, Lam Dong, Ca Mau... Along with that is professional support, communication and business connection, improving the quality of tournaments and developing sports economy.

Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu commented: “Organizing large-scale tournaments like this not only helps to extend the length of stay and increase tourists’ spending, but also creates a strong media effect, contributing to spreading the image of Da Nang widely. This is a typical example of the strategy of connecting sectors to increase the internal strength of local socio-economic development.”

The National Tourism Administration is also developing support policies such as visa exemptions, service incentives, and promoting investment in event support services to complete a comprehensive MICE tourism ecosystem. Da Nang, with its central location, convenient transportation, and modern infrastructure, is emerging as the leading MICE center in the country.

Veteran tennis player Mai Hoang My Trang (Ho Chi Minh City), a 13-time national champion, said: “I have competed in many localities, but Da Nang always brings a very unique feeling. Friendly audience, delicious food, professional competition space. I took the opportunity to check in at My Khe beach, Dragon Bridge, and share on social networks. My friends all said: Looking at the pictures makes me want to go right away”. Athlete Nguyen Duc Tuan (Hai Duong), the reigning men's singles champion of the Hai Duong table tennis team, shared: “Da Nang is truly an ideal place for both competition and relaxation. After competing, I took the opportunity to go to Ba Na Hills, Han market, eat Quang noodles, rice paper rolls with pork... Each time I come, it is a new experience”. With those simple but emotional shares, the athletes have become tourism ambassadors, promoting Da Nang in a close and effective way.
