Cat Lai Urban Area Project was planned since 2010 with a total investment of up to 6,000 billion VND. The project was expected to become a modern, civilized urban area, bringing a comfortable life to residents.
According to Dan Tri reporters, in Cat Lai Urban Area, a series of villas were built magnificently, with sophisticated designs but no one lived there. Areas that were expected to be bustling and crowded now look gloomy and deserted.
Cat Lai urban area exists with projects such as townhouses and villas. However, many apartments are abandoned, overgrown with weeds, causing loss of urban beauty.
Many villas have deteriorated, with mossy walls, broken windows, and overgrown gardens. Some apartments in the urban area are also used as places to store people's scrap.
Inside, many banners and billboards are hung in front of villas and townhouses. Some villas here are for sale for between 12 and 20 billion VND.
The urban area with a total area of over 152 hectares has a scale of nearly 12,500 apartments and low-rise houses, with a population of up to 50,000 people.
A broken window of the villa creates a messy picture in the urban area.
Some roads in Cat Lai Urban Area have been seriously degraded, with many potholes appearing next to billion-dollar villas. This not only affects people's travel but also makes this place desolate.
The project is introduced with many amenities such as being close to national standard school clusters, hospitals, large green areas, parks reserved for residents, outdoor stadiums, etc.
However, the reality is the opposite when a series of abandoned villas have become cold, haunting "ghosts" in the urban area. Some residents here said that the location of the urban area is not convenient, traffic is difficult, and it is not close to the center, causing residents to not concentrate on living here much.
In addition, many apartment buildings in this urban area are also deserted. However, some new construction projects are still being implemented in the area.
In addition, some premises are only for rent on the ground floor, the remaining floors above are vacant, with no signs of human habitation.
