The most serious is the low-lying section near Km25, through Song Phan commune, Ham Tan district ( Binh Thuan province), with the deepest flood depth of nearly 1 meter, stretching over 100 meters, leading to serious traffic jams on the highway.
Among them, a truck was swept away by the floodwaters, half submerged. Several cars tried to pass but stalled at the flooded spot.
Upon receiving the news, the traffic police blocked the entrance to the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway to avoid prolonged traffic jams. At the same time, they directed vehicles traveling on National Highway 1A.
