Checking PCTT and TKCN work in 2024

On the morning of May 16, a working delegation of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT and TKCN) led by Comrade Nguyen Duc Vuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial PCTT and TKCN Committee inspected the preparation and service of PCTT and TKCN in the area. Accompanying the delegation were comrades of the Provincial PCTT and TKCN Steering Committee members, representatives of the leaders of the districts, cities and towns with the inspected works.

Inspection of PCTT and TKCN work in 2024 — Comrade Nguyen Duc Vuong, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and the working delegation inspected the Moc Nam culvert, Moc Nam commune (Duy Tien town).

Accordingly, the working group inspected key projects, new projects and projects under construction, including: Moc Nam culvert key project (Moc Nam commune), Duy Tien town's PCTT reserve material warehouse; Tac Giang culvert and boat lock key project cluster; key weak dike section under construction from K117+810 - K129 of the left Day dike in Thanh Tan commune (Thanh Liem district) and the newly built Trieu Xa pumping station (Phu Ly city).

During the inspection, localities and units reported on the preparation work for disaster prevention and control and search and rescue according to the "4 on-site" motto in general and key provincial-level projects, new projects and projects under construction in particular; the service capacity of dike and irrigation projects in disaster prevention and control; propaganda work, handling of violations of the Law on Dikes, Law on Irrigation, Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, etc.

Through the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Vuong highly appreciated the efforts of units and localities in implementing the work of preparing for disaster prevention and control and search and rescue. At the same time, he requested construction management units, local authorities and functional branches to pay more attention to implementing disaster prevention and control according to the "4 on-site" motto, especially fully preparing on-site materials to promptly mobilize and handle the first hour when a situation occurs; closely following the weather situation to have a response plan; strengthening propaganda work to raise the sense of responsibility, avoiding subjectivity among cadres and people regarding the task of disaster prevention and control and search and rescue...

Particularly for the key dike section under construction from K117+810 - K129 of the left Day dike in Thanh Tan commune (Thanh Liem), the investor and the construction unit need to work together on progress, quality and disaster prevention and control capabilities. At the same time, there must be a specific plan to ensure the safety of the dike section when natural disasters such as storms and floods occur.
