During the Lunar New Year, Kien Giang province's tourism industry welcomed nearly 471,200 visitors (up 19.9% ​​over the same period), including 76,653 international visitors with total tourism revenue reaching over VND 1,886 billion.

On February 3, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Deputy Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism, said that during the Lunar New Year, localities and businesses in the province welcomed 471,200 visitors, an increase of 19.9% ​​over the same period. Of which, international visitors reached 76,653, an increase of 29.3%, and overnight guests reached 163,957, an increase of 14.9% over the same period.

Total revenue from tourism reached over VND 1,886 billion, up 49.5% over the same period; average room occupancy rate reached 73.4%, up 10.6% over the same period.

Of which, Phu Quoc city contributed more than 50% of the total number of visitors, reaching 281,659, up 26.9% over the same period; international visitors 74,833, up 30.2% over the same period; overnight visitors 108,000, up 35.1% over the same period.

According to the leader of Kien Giang Department of Tourism, the work of serving tourists during the Lunar New Year this year has been carefully prepared by agencies, units and localities. Tourism service businesses have consolidated and renewed their service products...

The number of tourists to Phu Quoc city is increasing, especially international tourists.
