The People's Committee of Kien Giang province, state administrative agencies, and authorities at all levels innovate and implement the working style of "respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people, and being responsible to the people", "listening to what the people say", "speaking to what the people understand", "guiding the people to do", "making the people trust", overcoming the disease of achievements, administration, and bureaucracy far from the people. Strictly handle officials, civil servants, and public employees who violate the law, have acts of abuse of power, cause trouble, and infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
The Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission has proactively surveyed and grasped the implementation of a number of projects with compensation and resettlement support when the State reclaims land, ensuring harmony between the interests of the people, the State and enterprises. The focus is on Phu Quoc City and the long-standing, unresolved complaints among the people in some districts of Hon Dat, Giang Thanh and U Minh Thuong.
The Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee coordinates with the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee's Party Committee to effectively carry out mass mobilization work in agencies that directly contact the people. Promote administrative reform, enhance direct dialogue with the people, effectively implement democracy at the grassroots level, continue to strive to increase indicators, especially those on administrative reform, people's satisfaction, etc.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Lam Minh Thanh directed the People's Committee of Kien Giang province to study and advise the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to effectively implement the plan for coordinating the work of mass mobilization and government in 2023 in an easy-to-understand, easy-to-do, and easy-to-implement manner.
Implementing the plan to coordinate administrative mass mobilization work in 2022, authorities at all levels, heads of agencies and units have paid attention to directing the development and implementation of administrative mass mobilization work, achieving many positive results.
The management and administration capacity of authorities at all levels has changed positively; inspection work has been strengthened, difficulties and obstacles have been promptly resolved, discipline and administrative order have been maintained, and issues related to the rights and interests of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and the people have been made public and transparent.
In 2022, People's Committees at all levels and heads of departments and branches resolved 235/272 complaints and denunciations. Of which, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province resolved 59/62 complaints, reaching 95.16%; the remaining number of complaints are being verified and awaiting dialogue before issuing a decision to resolve complaints according to regulations.
Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee continues to pay attention to and direct the improvement of the quality of mediation work at the grassroots level. People voluntarily implement their agreements, most of them do not dispute again. Mediation teams have received and mediated 3,527 cases, reaching 100%, and successfully mediated 2,937 cases, reaching 85%.
