(CTTĐTBP) - On the morning of April 23, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Binh Phuoc province held a conference to review the work of the first quarter and deploy directions and tasks for the second quarter of 2025. Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh, Head of the Steering Committee chaired the conference.

At the conference, the members of the Steering Committee discussed and agreed that in the first quarter, the Steering Committee had made many efforts, closely following its functions and tasks, promoting its role and responsibility in leading and directing the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the province. The conclusions and directions of the Central Government and key tasks on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity were seriously and fully implemented. Solutions to prevent corruption, waste and negativity were of interest to all levels and sectors; propaganda work was carried out regularly; inspection, examination and supervision work was strengthened.

The leadership and direction of the implementation of the coordination mechanism in detecting and handling corruption and negativity through inspection, supervision, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments have been effectively implemented. Investigation, prosecution and trial of corruption and negativity cases and incidents have been accelerated; officials and party members who violate corruption and negativity have been resolutely handled. During the quarter, 2 party members under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee were disciplined by expelling them.

Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Nguyen Minh Hoi approved the report on internal affairs, prevention and control of corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform in the first quarter of 2025.

The national defense and security situation in the province is maintained, ensuring absolute safety for important events of the country and the province. The fight against and prevention of crime is proactively and comprehensively deployed. Violations in the fields of customs, market management and forest management and protection have decreased compared to the same period in 2024. Religious issues are addressed according to regulations. The work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations has been implemented with attention./.
