The province currently has more than 17,000 enterprises registered for production and business activities, including the private economic sector, foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) and other types of enterprises.
In the context of complex climate change and increasingly urgent requirements for sustainable development, green transformation is not only a trend but has become an intrinsic driving force for economic development.
To achieve the Net Zero target, in line with the Prime Minister 's orientations and policies, the province is gradually researching, developing and implementing a green transformation strategy.
This strategy includes developing sustainable infrastructure, protecting the environment and encouraging renewable energy solutions. Specifically, the province is reviewing and restructuring the planning of industrial parks and industrial clusters (IPs, ICs); prioritizing selective investment attraction, especially green FDI projects, while proactively eliminating potentially polluting projects in the leather, rubber, textile, dyeing and paper industries and not approving production activities outside IPs and ICs.
The province has issued a Project to attract strategic investors until 2030 with the goal of successfully attracting key projects, strategic investors and multinational corporations.
In addition, actively support leading enterprises and innovative enterprises in applying sustainable green development solutions. Notably, supporting Vinh Phuc ICD Logistics Center to become Asia's first zero-emission dry port by 2040; establishing a working group in conjunction with Honda Vietnam Company to support enterprises in implementing emission reduction measures; establishing a Credit Guarantee Fund for small and medium-sized enterprises to help these enterprises without collateral to still be able to borrow capital.
Along with that, the system of credit institutions in the province has implemented many solutions, including promoting the application of digital technology, reforming administrative procedures, reducing interest rates, reducing application review time... to support businesses in borrowing capital.
With strategic steps and high determination, Vinh Phuc is creating a favorable environment for the private economy to develop strongly, contributing to the common prosperity of the province, while affirming its position as a bright spot in green growth in the region.
The province has established 19 industrial parks. According to the plan for developing the industrial park system in the Provincial Planning approved by the Prime Minister, by 2030 Vinh Phuc will have 28 industrial parks with an area of about 4,800 hectares and by 2050 there will be 29 industrial parks with an area of over 5,500 hectares.
Currently, the province has 1,329 projects in industrial parks and industrial clusters, including 487 FDI projects with a total investment capital of more than 8.61 billion USD; 842 DDI projects with a total investment capital of more than 147 trillion VND.
In the first 5 months of the year, all sectors and fields grew compared to the same period last year, especially the industrial production index increased by 15.12%. Budget revenue as of June 13 reached more than 15 trillion VND, reaching more than 56% of the plan. Attracting DDI and FDI continued to have many improvements.
Identifying the private economy as the most important driving force of the national economy, a pioneering force in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 68 on private economic development.
In particular, focusing on innovation in thinking, high unity in perception and action, arousing national belief and aspirations, creating new impulses and new momentum for private economic development. Promoting science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, effective and sustainable business in the private economy...
To realize the above goal, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued Action Plan No. 285, with the goal of striving for 20,000 enterprises and 80,000 business households operating in the private economy by 2030; labor productivity growth rate from 13 - 15%/year, much higher than the general target of the whole country. The growth rate of budget revenue of the private economy reached 14 - 15%, accounting for 10.5 - 12.5% of the total budget revenue of the province.
